Context
Three years of apprenticeship in Orange Business Services' Expert Support department, alongside my engineering degree at École des Mines d'Alès. That is where I built my networking foundation, the one that makes the difference today when a Kubernetes cluster needs debugging at L3.
Network support and operations
- Level 2 network support on Cisco, OneAccess and Juniper equipment.
- SIP voice migration troubleshooting in support of the national project.
- Internal trainer on various network technologies.
Tooling and automation
- Network pre-diagnosis script for after-sales support, written in PERL.
- Business application to check and fix router/switch configurations: Python, Flask, Docker, Git, PostgreSQL.
Results
- A solid networking foundation (routing, switching, voice) that underpins all my cloud infrastructure work.
- Even back then: automate rather than repeat: my first internal tools running in production.
