Context

Optimum Automotive needed to migrate a legacy C# application to React, a project too large to handle screen by screen manually. The chosen approach: industrialize the migration with AI agents.

I designed the agents and tooling, framed the conversion patterns, then transferred the skills to the in-house team so they could drive the rest of the migration on their own.

AI agents and tooling

  • Specialized agents and skills dedicated to translating C# code into React.
  • Automated pipeline: source-code analysis, component generation, iteration on uncovered cases.
  • Framed conversion patterns and validation rules for the generated code.

Team training and autonomy

  • Developer training on using and maintaining the agents.
  • Workflow documentation so the migration can continue in-house.

Results

  • Industrialized migration: screens are converted by the agents, the team validates.
  • In-house team fully autonomous on the AI tooling by the end of the engagement.
